Mike and Rob
Okay, the swiss steak is this Sunday and I haven't made chili in ages, gee whiz. By the way, I would love some KFC, love me some snackers. Of course, Outback, Texas Roadhouse, Chili's, and some chicken marsale from Tuscany, sounds good.

Well, I think Al is going to try to go to school tomorrow. He doesn't need to get too far behind. He has to miss Friday for his follow up appt. He's not really eating and he does seem to tire easily. He actually gets off the computer on his own, rather than us telling him that his time is up. He hasn't talked on the phone very much either. So needless to say, he is just not himself.
My nephew is getting married today. I would have liked to gone, but money is very very tight and Alex wouldn't be too comfy in a car for 4 hrs with his foot. Mom wasn't able to go because they upped what they are supposed to do for work and since she missed a few days when Alex had his surgery, she had to work overtime to play catch up. She's working today, she'll actually be able to get more done today than during the regular work week. Hubby goes back to work tonight, he took fmla because he didn't want me to have to be alone with Al just in case he fell or something, he's a big kid, I wouldn't be able to pick him up.
Here's my list of 10 things I would never say, stolen from Angel, who stole it from someone else.
Here are some pics from the weekend. Erin and Daddy in front of a truck at the family fest. Elvis was at the festival. Alex was all ready for the homecoming dance. The kitten found the turtle today. Dan was framed. His shirt has an egg that said I'm happy because I just got laid. Tomorrow the boy has his surgery.

I almost forgot, tomorrow we are going to the family festival for special olympics. I had forgotten about it until hubby said they sent a shirt and name tag home. Should be fun. I guess we will be missing the Cowden yard sales. Oh well.
Well, his ankle didn't heal as the doc would have liked, so on Tuesday, Al has to have surgery. They will be putting a plate and some screws and who knows what else in there. The doc came in with the x-rays and he's rubbing his chin saying that's interesting. He looked at Al and said, don't you just love it when docs say something is interesting. Then he told us that the ankle shifted and he also wanted to take x-rays that were higher up on the leg because he said that Al could have broken that, too. But he didn't, so that's good, but like I said, he is having surgery. Of course, all Al was worried about was that they didn't do it today, so he could go to homecoming.
Okay, I feel better about myself. I finally got my hair cut. It's been since April. I've been letting it grow out, but it got so shaggy and I had this funky mullet thing going on, so, I had it shaped up and next I would like some highlights, but right now, we just don't have that kind of money. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.
Okay, this is going to sound dumb, but this summer, I fell in love with the reality show, Rock Star Supernova. I never like reality tv, but this one really grabbed me. Tonight was the final and my guys were the first to go, I was shocked! The one that I really loved, Ryan Star, was cut a few weeks ago, but he got to come back last night and sing his original song and he won a car. Tonight, my second fave was the first to go, Magni. Then they cut Toby, who I really thought would take it all. They ended up picking Lukas, who looks like he is having a seizure when he is singing. I'll have to listen to them, but I think it will be really hard to watch Supernova perform. Oh well, Tommy Lee is the drummer, so I guess I can watch him.
Mike, I have been reading your blog but it won't let me comment. So, I haven't been ignoring it.

Alex went to spend the weekend with a friend and he called to talk to Dan. I asked what was up and apparently he was wrestling and twisted his ankle, well I had to drop some money off to him and when I saw his foot it was swollen twice it's normal size. So, Mom and I took him to the ER and it turns out he broke the bone between his growth plates in the ankle. He was all excited on the way to the ER about maybe having to have crutches, but 4 hours later, the pain hit and it wasn't so funny anymore. Poor kid hurts like the dickens, but I have him all settled in bed. He wanted to go back to the friends house, but he actually did change his mind and decide to stay home. I'll take pics when he feels a little better. Thanks for your help, Lisa. I'm glad Mom and Erin didn't have to hang around the ER.
