Schools Out for the Summer
Well, it's that time of year, again. Summer vacation. The last school day, for the kiddies, was Monday. Alex had awards day and is now officially a senior. He still plans on going to college and being a teacher. The summer work program he is doing now will pay for his last 2yrs of college. That is sweet. He'll do the first 2 at a junior college and then transfer to a university. They will pay his room and food, laptop, everything the kid needs. PHEW! This summer, he will be working in the cemetary. He said he'll be working the graveyard shift. lol. I'm pretty proud of this kid. He still drives me nuts, because he can be a spoiled, lazy, brat, however, he is thinking of his future. He'll be getting his license in July. He is just growing way to fast. I can't keep up.
Tomorrow, we are going to the Strawberry Jam in Arthur. We are also going to pick up our big beef bundle at the butchers. It is such a cost saver. The meat is great and we get steak, too. Gonna finish up a little project in the backyard. A little patio to put the grill on. I plan on using my fire pit this weekend, too. I've had it for almost 3 weeks. Time to burn stuff.

I suppose they can be lazy, spoiled, brats now as long as they get a good education and don't come crawling back to us as spoiled, lazy, brats. :P
Way to go Alex!
Ps. Make me a steak! I like them practically mooing....
Angel, I like my steak mooing. My ex-husband actually got really mad at me once for ordering a rare steak, whatever, it was good.
