Hello, if anyone still reads this.

Well, here's the monthly blog update. Erin has eye surgery on Friday, so we will be spending the night at my brothers because it's an hour and a half drive to the hospital. She will not be a happy camper. Dan is a little disappointed that I won't be making the trip to pick up his kids, on Tues, but I just wouldn't feel right leaving her so soon after surgery. Besides, Mom isn't to keen on giving Erin eye drops 3 times a day. Mom's a little squeamish.

We'll have all of Dan's kids for 10 days(he has 3). His daughter has decided to come. She hasn't been here for 2yrs, now all of a sudden she wants to live with her dad. I can't figure kids out. We told her we need to see how things go.

Alex gets his license on the 22nd. I am so not ready for that one. It's going to be even worse for me when they go back to school, knowing that it's his last year of high school. I was thinking about that this morning. He has been working at the cemetary, perfect place for him. I think they do an aweful lot of goofing off, but it's a great first job for him.

Schools Out for the Summer

Well, it's that time of year, again. Summer vacation. The last school day, for the kiddies, was Monday. Alex had awards day and is now officially a senior. He still plans on going to college and being a teacher. The summer work program he is doing now will pay for his last 2yrs of college. That is sweet. He'll do the first 2 at a junior college and then transfer to a university. They will pay his room and food, laptop, everything the kid needs. PHEW! This summer, he will be working in the cemetary. He said he'll be working the graveyard shift. lol. I'm pretty proud of this kid. He still drives me nuts, because he can be a spoiled, lazy, brat, however, he is thinking of his future. He'll be getting his license in July. He is just growing way to fast. I can't keep up.

Tomorrow, we are going to the Strawberry Jam in Arthur. We are also going to pick up our big beef bundle at the butchers. It is such a cost saver. The meat is great and we get steak, too. Gonna finish up a little project in the backyard. A little patio to put the grill on. I plan on using my fire pit this weekend, too. I've had it for almost 3 weeks. Time to burn stuff.
