More on the day of the Special Olympics.

This year, Alex went with us to watch Erin do her olympic thing. Well, it was on a college campus and that was the wrong place for a 17yr old male. Everytime we saw a female, he would say"hi, I'm Alex" That kid has a lot of confidance. A little too much. He got in trouble at school because he supposedly made an inappropraite(sorry, can't spell) gesture to an intern. All he did was flex his muscles and said the hi I'm Alex thing. Sometimes, I think his school looks for excuses to rag on him.
At the olympics, Al bought a cowbell, yes, we needed more cowbell. He was shaking it and being goofy, I told him to watch out or he might get recruited for a team(wrong, I know, so sue me) He could be "The Ringer". I don't know if I should take him next year, considering that it takes place at the campus he wants to attend, he wants to be a teacher and it's a great teaching school. I would hate for the kid to get banned from a school before he even getst to attend.

Bringing home the gold.

Well, Erin got a gold medal in the tennis ball throw. I'm very proud of her, however, she was the only one in her age group so all she had to do was put the ball in her hand and drop it. Simple, you might say. Not for my little princess. It was quite the show. 2 college boys were running the event. Little miss giggled and tried to hand the ball back to one of the boys. She ended up just kinda dropping it. What a diva. Last year, when girls were running the event, she actually put some effort into it and kinda tossed it. Anyone that knows Erin, knows that she does whatever she wants to do. If she doesn't want to do it, she will just smile at you or giggle. She knows how to wrap people around her little finger. I love the little stink-pot. We took some pics, but I haven't downloaded them to the computer yet.
Getting things ready, around the house, for AP and UB to visit. I cleaned Alex's room yesterday. I should take a pic of it and hang it in his room so he knows what it should look like. Hubby wants me to make homemade lasagna this week. I do have one that I froze, I don't think I'll have time to make a fresh one. We'll see.

Holy Bad Blogger, Batman

Wow, I remember when I actually wrote a post every few days. Now it's been 4 months. Not much has gone on in my life. Hubby is still good. The kids are good. Alex will get his license this summer and Erin has Special Olympics next Friday. I work for Headstart now. I'll be off for the summer starting May 14. My aunt and uncle from Florida will be here on May 1. We discovered that we have hardwood floors throughout the house, after living here for almost 4yrs. Needless to say, we will be ripping up this ugly carpet. It'll be time to start my garden soon. I can't wait. I have a my-space page. I guess that's about it. Maybe I'll actually post pics sometime. We'll see.
