Run, Mimi, Run!

Today just seemed like non-stop running. Got the kids off to school then had to make a trip into Springfield that I wasn't planning on. Hubby was up from 2pm Wed. until 8ish tonight(Thurs), he did nap for an hour on the way to Springfield and an hour on the way home.

We did pick up a nice little shirt for the princess to get her school pic taken in. Paid 5 bucks at Fashion Bug for it. A lot of people don't realize that they have a big selection of jr.s and girl sizes. I got my step daughter lots of good deals there for school clothes. Erins pics are next Wed. I like how her school is doing it. They will send proofs home to choose from. They also said that we could send an outfit to change the kids into and they would make sure they look there best. When I worked at her last school with the older kids, pic day was a nightmare, getting the kids to smile and be clean was a challenge. I know how hard it is to get Erin to follow directions. Having a special needs child sure has its challenges. But it is also very rewarding. The little monkey is always surprising me with the things she can do. She has been fighting this cold that will not leave her and I wanted to check her temp tonight, so I took her arm out of her shirt sleeve while Dan got the thermometer, well apparently he took to long because she put her shirt back on. This went on several times. It's a big deal because I didn't know that she could do that. I knew that she can take her shoes off, usually while we are shopping, but putting stuff on is a different story all together. I told her that I'm going to make her do that all the time and she just laughed at me. I really think she understands a whole lot more than I realize, but she's my baby and I want to do it all for her. She also did something else surprising tonight. Dan was on the phone and Moms dog was on his lap, Erin got his rawhide chewing and was trying to stick it in his mouth, he wouldn't take it, so she went and gave it to Timmy the weiner dog. It amazed me that she paid attention and knew that was theirs. She is a stinker and she knows it.

Well, I am very tired so I'm going to drag hubby off the couch and crawl into bed.

I guess I'll be the first to comment for a change since Mother can't do it:
Aww that's cute!

yeah...well...when you are down there, you're a bit slow on the reading of the blogs. Must be the time change or something. Or else you can't control the shaking from the computer user withdrawls.
