Special Olympics

Friday morning, Erin participated in Special Olympics, she was in the tennis ball throw. It was so cool. They even had volunteers clapping for the kids when they got off the bus. Erin had a great time, she tolerated it so much better than I thought she would. Of course, when the kid kept handing her the tennis ball, she would look at it, smile and hand it back to him. It took a little bit to get her to actually throw it. All the kids got medals, she got a second place medal. What a great thing. Lots of college students were volunteers, and most of them really seemed like they were happy to be there. I can't wait for next year. The lady holding Erin's hand is one of the aids from her classroom, so Erin was comfortable with her.

Tomorrow, we plant flowers, Mom, Al, Erin, and I picked out a bunch of flowers today and we will be outside planting tomorrow, even Erin will get in on the action. I'm not too sure that she'll be in charge of the watering, I don't think it's supposed to be that warm tomorrow. I'll make sure to take pics.
